Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Crackr. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Who can use Crackr

You must be at least 13 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement where you live. Your account is personal to you. Keep it secure, do not share it, and make sure the information attached to it is accurate.

The service

Crackr provides guided projects for building machine learning systems from scratch. A project may include written curriculum, starter repositories, tasks, progress tracking, automated evaluations, and evaluation results. Some projects or features are free and others require a paid access pass.

Tasks may unlock in sequence. Where an automated evaluation is available, you may be allowed to continue without running it. Completing a task without an evaluation does not mean that Crackr verified your implementation.

GitHub repositories and your code

Crackr uses GitHub to create or connect project repositories, record commits, receive push events, and run evaluations against the commit you select. You authorize Crackr and its GitHub App to perform the repository actions shown during installation and required to provide the service.

You retain ownership of code you write. You give us limited permission to access, copy, execute, and process that code only as needed to operate, secure, and improve Crackr. Do not submit code or data that you do not have the right to use.

Automated evaluations

Evaluations are intended to help you test your work. Results may contain errors, miss defects, or change as the evaluator improves. A passing result is not a certification, employment credential, security audit, or guarantee that your implementation is production-ready.

Access passes and payments

Paid access passes are one-time purchases processed by Polar. They do not renew automatically. The checkout page shows the price, access period, and included features before you pay.

A time-limited pass expires at the end of its stated access period. A lifetime pass provides access for the commercial lifetime of the Crackr service, not for the lifetime of any individual person. Beta pricing and the project catalog may change. A later price change does not alter an access pass you already purchased.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and any mandatory rights that apply where you live.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service. This includes scraping or redistributing the curriculum or evaluation bundles at scale, probing private evaluators, bypassing access controls, interfering with infrastructure, submitting malicious code, abusing GitHub integrations, sharing paid access, or using Crackr for unlawful activity. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service.

Crackr content

Crackr and its licensors retain rights in the curriculum, site design, project structure, evaluator code, test cases, and other service materials. A public repository or resource remains subject to the license shown with that resource. Access to the service does not grant permission to resell or republish paid or proprietary materials.

Availability and changes

Crackr is currently in beta. We may add, change, or remove projects, tests, integrations, and features. We aim to keep the service reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every external provider will remain available.

Termination

You may stop using Crackr at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that materially violates these terms, creates risk for the service, or is used fraudulently. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Disclaimer and liability

Crackr is provided as available and without warranties to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid Crackr during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Crackr changes. We will update the date at the top and provide additional notice when a change is material. Your continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.
